Norley C of E Primary School Parent, Teacher and Friends Association

The PTFA is Norley Primary School’s fundraising and community support charity. All parents and carers automatically become members, and we warmly welcome you to our school community.

Our aim is simple: to bring parents, staff and the wider village community together while raising funds to enhance the children’s experience at Norley. Through events, fundraising and volunteering, the PTFA helps provide opportunities and resources that support learning, wellbeing and enjoyment for all pupils.

What We Do

The PTFA helps fund valuable extras that enrich school life and support the experiences available to pupils. This includes helping to subsidise school trips, purchasing additional sports and learning equipment, and supporting enrichment activities that broaden learning beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year we organise a range of events for pupils, families and the wider community. These include school discos, seasonal celebrations and other fundraising activities that bring the school community together while raising funds for the school. One of the highlights of the year is our summer celebration, where families come together on the school field to enjoy a BBQ, games and a disco, with many choosing to camp overnight — a much-loved Norley tradition.

Behind the scenes, volunteers give their time in many ways — from baking cakes and organising raffles to planning events, setting up venues and helping everything run smoothly on the day. Every contribution helps make a difference.

How You Can Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the PTFA, whether you can offer a little time, share an idea, or simply support our fundraising activities. Every contribution makes a difference.

• Attend our annual general meeting and share your ideas about future activities and fundraising priorities.

• Volunteer at events, whether helping to run stalls, set up or tidy away.

• Get a group together and take the lead in organising an event, with full support from the PTFA committee.

• Encourage grandparents, carers and friends of the school to get involved.

• Support sponsored events, raffles and fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

• Sign up to our School Lottery and be in with a chance to win while supporting the school.

• Support us through Easyfundraising when shopping online — retailers donate to the school at no extra cost to you. Activate the donation reminder so you never miss a donation while shopping.

Our Committee

The PTFA is run by a small group of parent volunteers who work closely with the school to organise events, manage fundraising activities and ensure that funds raised benefit the children.

We are always happy to welcome new members and volunteers.
