Thank you Norley Horticultural Society!

In September, our school choir was delighted to be invited to sing at the Norley Village Garden Show. We were thrilled to be part of this wonderful annual community event and enjoyed performing a couple of our favourite songs, including Walking on Sunshine and Happy Together.

Afterwards, we had time to explore the stalls, enjoy some delicious drinks and cake, and watch the entertaining dog show!

Last week, we received a lovely surprise: a letter of thanks and a generous book token from the Norley Horticultural Society. We were absolutely delighted!

At Norley CE Primary School, we love reading, and this is reflected in our achievements. Last year, 100% of our Year 6 children achieved the age-related expectation in reading.

To spend our book token, we chose two members of the choir to visit our local bookshop, The Curious Cat in Frodsham. With so many wonderful books to choose from, it was a difficult decision, but the children carefully selected six books that we hope will appeal to readers of all ages across our school.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Norley Horticultural Society for inviting us to sing at the Garden Show and for their generous book token. Your kindness will help us continue to nurture our children's love of reading and give even more opportunities for our pupils to shine!
