Mrs Richmond Retires

After 30 wonderful years at our school, our much-loved cook, Mrs Richmond, is hanging up her apron.

She has been at the heart of our school community, and we will miss her very much.

The poem below summarises what she has meant to us over the years and is our way of saying thank you for her dedication, kindness, and care.

For Mrs. Richmond

For thirty years you've filled our days,
In countless thoughtful, caring ways.
With apron on and smile so bright,
You've made each mealtime feel just right.

Nothing's ever been too much,
You have that kind and special touch.
You've made sure every plate was full,
With warmth and care so wonderful.

Your puddings always stole the show,
The sweetest treats we've come to know.
Your curry packed a spicy delight,
And those spicy chips were pure delight!

You've nourished more than just our plates,
You've built friendships that time creates.
With every meal and every chat,
You gave so much—and more than that.

As you retire, it's hard to say
Just how much we'll miss you every day.
The kitchen won't be quite the same,
Without your smile and friendly name.

So here's to you, with thanks sincere,
For thirty wonderful, dedicated years.
May retirement bring joy that's well deserved,
With all the happiness you've so richly earned.

We'll miss your cooking, your kindness too,
But most of all, we'll all miss you.
