Easter Journey
As part of their reflection during Holy Week, our Year 5 children visited Main Street Chapel to take part in The Easter Journey, led by the Churches Together group.
This special, interactive experience allowed the children to step back in time and explore the events of Holy Week in a meaningful and engaging way. Through a series of reflective activities, they were able to consider how people’s feelings towards Jesus changed over the course of the week—from celebration and hope to uncertainty and sadness.
The children approached the experience with maturity, respect, and curiosity, fully immersing themselves in each part of the journey. It was a valuable opportunity for them not only to deepen their understanding of the Easter story but also to reflect on its significance.
We were incredibly impressed by the children’s knowledge and thoughtful responses throughout the visit. They represented the school beautifully and embraced the experience as an important part of this special time in the Christian calendar.
