Natalie is a Foundation Governor, member of Norley St John's church and also parent of two children at the school. Natalie, her husband and children live in Gorstage and enjoy the outdoors, especially walking and camping.
Having a real interest in teaching and learning, Natalie has worked in Education for many years. As the Chair of the Governing Body she has many roles and specific responsibility for pupil admissions, student attendance and Design Technology.
Vicar Pete Rugen
Officially titled the Rev’d Peter Rugen, he is mostly known as ‘Vicar Pete’. He has been a Vicar for 15 years and has spent the last six in Norley, Crowton and Kingsley (NCK). Previous to this, he was a teacher and so is interested in seeing children reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives. He is also keen on making sure that a relevant and living faith in Jesus Christ plays an important part in our school and community.
Mrs Harriet Pearson
As a parent governor at Norley CE Primary School, Harriet chairs the Curriculum Committee and has a special interest in literacy and modern foreign languages. She lives in Norley with husband Mark, and their two sons. Harriet works as a freelance copywriter and any spare time left over is spent out running, or walking the family dog.
Mr Roger Hoyle
Roger is a Foundation Governor. A Law graduate, he also studied as a Post Graduate, at Harvard Business School.
His executive background was in NHS leadership nationally and locally. In 2003, following a stroke, he retired and has since focussed on Non Executive appointments, Currently, Chairman of Belong, an innovative provider of care for older people in the North West.
Roger's focus as a Governor is on strategy,finance and HR. He brings an external and hopefully objective view to the work of the Governing Body.
Mr Matthew Kimpton-Smith
Matthew is Managing Director of Cygnet Group, an export led family engineering business based in Northwich. Matthew read economics at Cambridge before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse in London. Whilst in London Matthew attended one of the very first Alpha courses at Holy Trinity Brompton, where he became a Christian and met Sam, to whom he is now married They have four children (Max, Claudia, Antonia and Harry) and live in Norley.
In his free time Matthew enjoys sport and is currently cycling for fitness. In his youth he was a competitive oarsman, rowing in the Boat race and also representing GB at U18 and U23 World Championships. As part of the governing body Matthew is involved with the Marketing & Admissions Committee, and also has responsibility for RE teaching. His main priority is to bring some of the skills he has learnt in the business world to the Governing body, with the intent of helping to improve all aspects of the school.
Mr Christopher MacDonald
Chris is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist and has spent many years working with both blue-chip companies and universities, helping them to adapt and respond to often rapidly changing environments. He is the father of two ex-Norley pupils, both of whom had a memorable and fantastically enjoyable experience at Norley.
Chris has been a Governor at the school for several years and is a member of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Marketing and Admissions Group. In his spare time, Chris enjoys watching motorsport, gardening and walking, particularly along remote coastal paths.
Mrs Deryn O'Connor
Following a career as a Police Officer in Cheshire Constabulary, Deryn retired in 2011. She has lived in Norley since 1997 and retirement has given her the time and opportunity to become more involved in the village. Deryn is a Parish Councillor, secretary for the Norley Neighbourhood Plan Strategic Group and a trustee for the North West Police Benevolent Fund.
Deryn has wide experience and skills in recruitment and personnel matters and within the governing body she is a member of the Personnel Committee and a safeguarding governor. She feels the school is a vibrant and happy learning environment and considers the governors play a vital role in the school's development. Deryn is married to Simon and enjoys travelling the world with him. In her spare time she jogs and shops.
Mrs Sally White
Sally is also a parent governor, is Chair of the Premises Committee and has Governor responsibility for Geography and History.
Mrs Gail Young
Gail is a Foundation Governor who regularly attends Norley Church and has two children who attend the School. She is a qualified Accountant who works for a global company and in her Governor role sits on the Finance, Premises and Outdoor & Environment Committees.
Gail has a great love for the outdoors and enjoys walking, cycling and camping. She is keen to encourage the younger generation to get outside.
She is an Assistant Club Leader and thrives on the opportunities this brings. Gail likes to organise social events and in down time can be found enjoying a good book.
Mrs Charlotte Blinkhorn
Charlotte, known as Lottie, is a Foundation Governor who is a member of Norley St John’s Parochial Church Council and was a former pupil at the school. She now lives in Cuddington with her husband and two sons. When she finds the time, Lottie enjoys playing netball and sewing.
Lottie is a mature student who is currently studying her Nursing degree at the University of Chester. Within the Governing body she is involved in the Marketing and Premises Committee, as well as having responsibility for Science. Her priority is to ensure that pupils can flourish in a safe and happy environment.
